Dr. Naresh Shanmugam is a highly experienced Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with extensive expertise in managing complex liver and gastrointestinal disorders in children. With decades of experience in paediatrics and liver care, he specializes in advanced treatments including paediatric liver disease management, liver transplantation, intestinal rehabilitation, and nutritional disorders in children.

He completed his MBBS from Stanley Medical College and further pursued DCH and DNB in Paediatrics from Madras Medical College. To enhance his expertise, he underwent advanced specialist training in the United Kingdom and obtained FRCPCH from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, along with Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Paediatrics and Neonatology and Certificate of Sub-Specialty Training (CSST) in Paediatric Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Nutrition.

Dr. Naresh Shanmugam has played a key role in treating children with conditions such as acute liver failure, metabolic liver diseases, neonatal cholestasis, and complex gastrointestinal disorders, and has been actively involved in paediatric liver transplantation programs.

In addition to clinical practice, he has contributed to international medical research and publications and frequently presents his work at global conferences in the fields of paediatric gastroenterology and hepatology.
